A still life painting of fishing boats titled "Small boat tied to the capstan" It shows a grouping of wooden crab boats on the beach. Painted on 30 x 30cm (12 x 12") art board and signed and dated on verso.

The North Norfolk coast where I live has a long tradition of artisan fishing from small wooden boats launched into the waves from the beach. Their catch ranges from whelks to lobster and the famous Cromer crabs!
My naive style paintings of these old style fishing boats and fisherman harks back to some years ago when the activity of these boats and fisherman was far more plentiful.
